Perplexity vs Google
AI search gets a visual upgrade with 'circle to search' feature!

Welcome back, explorers.
Ever had that moment where you see something on your phone and just wish you could instantly know more about it? Well, Perplexity, the AI search company that's been turning heads, is working on a feature that might just give you that superpower. Think of Google's "Circle to Search" on Perplexity.
Today’s big story
Perplexity vs Google: AI search gets a visual upgrade with ‘circle to search’ feature!

You circle something on your screen and boom, you get search results. Perplexity's CEO, Aravind Srinivas, just announced they're building something similar for Android. Imagine you're chatting with Perplexity, see a name or a product, circle it, and ask a question. Perplexity will then jump online and find you the answer.
How Does It Actually Work?
They even showed us a sneak peek! In a demo, someone circled Roger Federer's name in a chat and asked, "What's his net worth?" Perplexity quickly pulled up the answer from the web. It's like having a super-fast, visual search right in your conversations.

Why Should We Care?
Instant Info: It makes searching way faster and more intuitive.
Perplexity's Rise: Some folks are even saying they prefer Perplexity's AI to Google's Gemini! That's saying something.
Comet Browser: They also launched an AI-powered browser, Comet, for phones – which is pretty cool.
The Little Catch:
Google's already trademarked "Circle to Search," so Perplexity will need to get creative with the name.
What's Next?
We're still waiting on the official launch date, but it's "coming soon" to Android. And we're all wondering if their Comet browser will make its way to our computers too.
The bottom line:
Basically, Perplexity is working on a way to let you search by circling stuff on your phone screen. It's about making AI search faster and easier, and it shows they're serious about shaking up the search world.
It sounds like a fun, useful feature. What do you guys think? Would you use something like this?
And that’s a wrap for today!
Thank you for reading. Stay tuned for more!
